This would have been a FF selection in 2020 had we not had the pandemic. Korean black comedy? Definitely a FF pick. Not surprised that Artsploitation Films nabbed this title (tbh I didn’t realize they were still a viable label rn). That said, I was expecting something even more extreme than what’s given here (based on prior Artsploitation acquisitions). So I was bracing myself for the duration. Fortunately it’s not that bad (good) yet definitely a fun flick that feels like a throwback to the nineties Tarantino era.
Entertaining watching all these separate stories converge. Would be a fun movie night flick. Lots of great actors involved including the grandmother from MINARI, Youn Yuh-jung, and one of the leads from GOOD BAD WEIRD, Jung Woo-sung.
In order to view this I had to hook up my Panasonic XP30 which I had taken apart to remove a stuck disc. The tray was having issues so I wasn’t planning on using it again but since the Philips player I have on hand requires the remote, which is in Colorado, I can’t turn on the subtitles. Was able to get the XP30 to read the disc and play it w/subs.
