Saw the tweets from Mike Vanderbilt about the premiere of this movie in Chicago and wondered if I had seen it. Wasn’t logged here but a quick search located the full movie (as TROLLENBERG TERROR) on YT. So I just fired it up and worked on another pile of trash.
Overall a decent 50s B-movie/ creature feature that borrows a lot from H.P. Lovecraft. In fact, a good chunk of this feels like a loose adaptation of At the Mountains of Madness. While not great it has some gruesome moments and a fun rubbery tentacle monster. Would be a good one for the Sci-Fi Spectacular or The Massacre (in that early afternoon old movie slot).
