Second movie in Paul’s food-themed watch party via Kast. There was a long intermission of banana content between movies so I cut out so I could work on stuff but decided to come back to watch this while still working on stuff. This feels like an 80s Troma flick but it’s not. There’s some interesting stuff in here that could’ve made for a better movie but this still has plenty of charm for a micro-budget indie kind of film set in NYC. The on-location shots around Manhattan are great. The killer appliance thing just really isn’t all that compelling to me unless it’s all together something else i.e. THE WASHING MACHINE.
