During my double feature of IN THE EARTH and WRONG TURN I was reminded of this movie for a variety of reasons but mostly bc both stories are set in the remote woods. So after watching those two films back to back I really wanted to revisit this movie.
This movie is remarkable in that you can see the influences that Raimi clearly had yet at the same time you can see how this movie has influenced so many other films that came after it. Quite a feat. I’m impressed that they succeeded in making and completing this movie despite the odds and how miserable everyone was.
