In my weakened state (day after my second vax shot) I decided to watch this thinking it wouldn’t require much effort to follow along. Was right about that. I give it props for taking an old Hanna-Barbera kids show and doing something sinister with it. Unfortunately the movie didn’t really work for me despite some gruesome kills and gore. Oddly the entire feature feels flat like a general lack of excitement or energy. Which is strange given the premise. But I will bump it up a point for how dark it gets with a licensed children’s property plus the use of practical effects which they discuss in the making-of featurette.
