Since my friends are in Hawaii I figured I’d go see a movie set in Hawaii. Had read / heard this wasn’t a good movie and that is correct; this is not a good move. Spends more than half of its 70min sans credits runtime doing nothing. Also not really a fan of throwing in unlikable characters so the viewer doesn’t care about them when they are killed off (in this instance). It can work in a slasher movie or even action films but when there’s only four characters I’d rather care about them given all the time we have to spend with them in this type of investigative premise. Anyways, this is a dumb movie with a super leery camera that was annoying to watch. Feels a lot like a terrible remake of a J-horror but worse since this is an original production.
