Overview

Viewing Notes
Enjoyed this more than the previous movie. Creative editing between scenes and some solid jump scares plus Cillian Murphy make it work. Emily Blunt is terrific as usual. Still have same issues with the story / premise and how characters deal with it (like in the first movie, why not just live at the waterfall?!). Most of those issues are handled better here. Also the emotional beats are very effective.
Good one to see in theater bc ppl have to shut up to hear what’s being said. And I had a very obnoxious family show up in an otherwise empty theater. Was glad they had to keep quiet.
Went to bed with a sore throat that only got worse when I woke up so I decided to go see a movie if I could find a cheap matinee. This Regal Cinebarre was the cheapest at $6.75/ticket so I drive 30 minutes (felt like going to Marcus Addison). When I arrived the computer system was totally down so they just sent me into the theater and apologized. Lol okay!
