Viewing Notes

First Ultraman movie in the double feature Ultra-pack evening on DKU and another that I hadn’t seen. This one is definitely geared towards kids as all the main the characters are children. Also it’s a meta alt-dimension story where the Ultraman universe is a tv show with many iterations just like our reality but these kids beckon Ultraman Gaia to actually appear from an alt-dimension after the kids find a red orb that grants wishes. Of course, the orb is evil and also possesses the kids to get them to conjure kaiju to attack their town.

Not a bad Ultra flick that also features Tiga and Dyna who both come to the aid of Gaia. My favorite part is when the Ultra brothers look at each other and give the head nod like, “thanks brother!” Oh the King of Mons kaiju is really great, too. Super ferocious giant monster.
