Viewing Notes

Thanks to Ron’s friend Rob Hunter mentioning this again on Twitter I learned this was available to view on Hulu and one I’ve been wanting to see since it was released (being a big Scooby-doo fan). This doesn’t feature the Scooby gang but it is a fun team-up of these two characters with a few references to the cartoon series. Very slight YA stuff but enjoyable just like that recent Nancy Drew flick (similar tone). I like that the mystery is solid albeit a tad goofy w/the helicopter parent of Daphne. It is odd that everyone is upper class (Daphne lives in a McMansion). I always thought the entire Scooby gang came from more modest roots.

One thing that should’ve been done better is that Daphne and parents have just moved to this town yet it appears like they’ve been there for while from all the scenes inside their McMansion. For example Daphne’s bedroom appears like she’s been living in it for a while. Not a big deal thing but a little sloppy.
