Viewing Notes

Really didn’t know anything about this going into it other than it had good ratings / WOM. But it opens with a intertitle card explaining the origin of this story and then I remembered when it all went down on twitter but never really dug into the actual details. Now I’m keen to go back and read that (or at least the article that was written about A’Ziah “Zola” King, the RL person who shared this story).

This movie has the same kind of energy as GOODTIME, which I think was a A24 release as well. Just a nervous energy not knowing where it will go next yet knowing anything could happen. Both leads are very good.

Last night I was catching on on emails that I haven’t read since last week and learned that my AMC A-List was reactivated. News to me but yeah I recall them pushing it out again to July and it’s July! So I guess since July 1st I’ve been back on the A-List so naturally I want to capitalize on this week before it expires so I headed down to Westminster to see this. 20 miles / 40 minutes. WOW
