Overview

Viewing Notes
Initially wasn’t into the setup, The Purge happening in rural Texas on a Ranch w/the intentional racism, but I give the movie credit for making more of the “event” with the Forever Purge premise. Still lots of obvious plot points to get the story rolling but it kept me engaged. All that said, having lived thru the past year + the insurrection this movie is so on the nose that it feels more like an extension of our current times. Of course, that’s the point of all these Purge flicks but it’s a little much to endure at the moment. The Forever Purge is more like wish fulfillment for these assholes. It was cool to see Ana de la Reguera be a badass again.
Wasn’t planning on even catching this one in the theater but since I drove the 40min to get to the Westminster Promenade I decide to maximize the trip and do a double feature since my A-List was reinstated.
