Found on the Hi-Yah! channel… started watching and thought I might actually own this. I do! On dvd but since I don’t know where it is atm I decided to keep watching.
Very early 90s HK aesthetic; not super great but essential and entertaining for these reasons.
- Anita Mui (RIP)
- long hair Andy Lau
- Maggie Cheung and her stunt double, who gets a lot of work here
- directed by Sammo Hung
- Andy Lau rides and plays with a real killer whale at a water park for some reason*
- decapitation by bow string
*sure, I guess there is a reason ::eyeroll emoji:: but it’s so frickin’ bizarre to see what is clearly a Sea World type of place jammed into this period wuxia flick.
