This messed me up. Blown away that this is a feature debut by this director. Takes a similar premise as ASAKO I & II yet makes it haunting and somehow more heart-wrenching, if that were possible. Wild flick that manages to out-Kiyoshi Kurosawa at the same film festival that features a Kiyoshi Kurosawa film. Helluva feat.
