Recognized the lead actress and remembered she was in another JAPAN CUTS film this year, WONDERFUL PARADISE. She’s damn good in this, too. She has a big future should she decide to go for it. Great child actors in this as well.
Once again I’m loving the rural Japan setting! Really nice to see different areas of this country outside of a major city or Tokyo. There’s an awesome cat with no tail — or a stubby tail. Neat symbolism for the foster home.
