This could’ve been a mid-tier film at FF pre-pandemic (or non-pandemic). Has that quirky odd story with colorful characters in an interesting locale. Def could’ve / would’ve played Chicago International. Has a dark comedic tone but wouldn’t call it a comedy. More sad and desperate with these characters in a hopeless situation. Not sure I’ve seen a Kazakhstan film but I’d watch more like this one.
