Really wish this wasn’t being sold as an action film. Also wish I hadn’t seen that final (gun) fight a dozen+ times in my TL. The movie is a solid 6 out of ten but I give it a full point up for being so Japanese. I dunno if this is based on a manga but it sure feels like a live action manga in so many ways.
I love the oden scene which really had me missing oden. Made note to look up oden recipes bc I really need it this winter. The maid cafe sequence with the yakuza is brilliant and probably my favorite of the movie.
I hated how the subtitles were rendered on the stream (not the spelling errors but those suck too). Also the poor translations were annoying AF. I really hope those are fixed for the eventual Blu release.
