Viewing Notes

Great to finally revisit this one… another I haven’t seen since its release in theater. Recalled more than I expected for a 9 year old film but I suppose that’s a testament to how well this one was crafted. Won’t have as many notes compared to my Quantum of Solace revisit but noticeably upfront is how the editing is so much better here (and the action in general, which isn’t totally in your face like QoS).

Still love the heck outta Dame Judi Dench. Naomi Harris is terrific. Forgot that she becomes Moneypenny. The Battleship Island sequence is probably the most memorable thing for me and it is still a wonderful centerpiece to the story. Even with the big action setpiece at the end this movie feels so much more subdued than QoS. I like that quality.
