Viewing Notes

Found this on TCM figuring it was another early horror film produced by Val Lewton. But Ben Mankiewicz said otherwise in the film introduction however indicated that the movie still leans in that direction. Thought it was gonna be another pregame / prep for Dark Castle day this weekend but this is a completely different story (there’s actually another Ghost Ship movie from 1952 that is the basis for the DC remake).

Anyways, this story features a madman captain of a ship causing the deaths of some of the crew he doesn’t like. Close enough for me to count for my 31 Days. A good not great film.
