Was happy that HBO Max had this old classic available bc I wanted to revisit before our Dark Castle marathon (even tho the HOUSE OF WAX 2005 film has nothing to do with this story). It is fun to watch this after viewing the 1953 HOUSE OF WAX with Vincent Price. That movie is nearly a direct lift of this film. What’s wild is how horrifying this movie is at times for that time period. This had to spook some folks back then.
update: according to ML I haven’t logged this since 2009, when I started religiously logging all films. I thought for sure I’ve seen it at least twice before tonight but nope. Yet I remembered so many things from this movie. Testament to how well this film was crafted cuz I don’t remember shit these days. Really shocked this was never booked for one of the horror marathons during my time there.
