Viewing Notes
Continue to be impressed by Megan Fox even tho I already knew she was good. In fact, she’s great in this story that really oughtn’t work but it does. Sure, there’s a few spots where I was like, “yeah no” but it doesn’t distract from the bulk of story and the cat and mouse situation. Whereas I knew Megan would sell this thing I was impressed with a lot of the screenplay that found an answer for some of my questions as it went along. Not everything but p darn close given the premise. If Megan wants to keep doing genre flicks I’m cool with that.
I will say that I didn’t believe that this was shot on location or outdoors.* Could be wrong but the winter landscape and surrounds all looks digital. Would love to see a making of / BTS featurette.
Adding to my 31 in 31 challenge bc it’s listed as horror but it’s not really; this is a full-on suspense thriller (but I won’t begrudge anyone that wants to label this as horror).
* LOL this was filmed in Bulgaria! Now I’m really curious what was really shot outside in the elements, if anything.
