Caught this on TCM before it expired. Perhaps the best transfer of anything I’ve seen via their Roku app so I’m guessing they have the Criterion transfer. Labeled as horror but not quite. Def fantasy / sci-fi set in a bizarre future apocalyptic situation. I like the tagline of “Alice in Apocalypse Wonderland” as this is very much a retelling of that tale albeit quite different but very fascinating. I like the unpredictability of the entire thing. This is a weird one that is very much in my wheelhouse. Will add to my Criterion wishlist for a future flash sale.
