Viewing Notes

Wanted to revisit this after viewing NO TIME TO DIE and the amazing sequence between de Armas and Craig. That great chemistry started with this film and I’m so happy that Rian Johnson cast de Armas. Both her and Craig are excellent. I didn’t think this movie would age well but it’s even better than I remembered. It’s a masterclass in nuanced + melodramatic acting from all the principles. So much fun watching these actors do their thing and do it so well. Plus it’s a seasonal film so it’s perfect to watch right now!

My old library used to have a bunch of the DVDs on sale which I never bought bc DVD but now regret that bc it’d be worth a buck to have whatever extras may exist on it. I’d love to hear a commentary and watch a BTW making-of featurette. Thrilled we’re getting another Benoit Blanc movie. Cannot be overstated how great Daniel Craig is inhabiting this character.
