Viewing Notes

After our excellent Ringo Lam double feature last night I was craving more of his films and found this Fortune Star release on Prime. Yep, this is definitely a Ringo Lam joint!

Reunites Jacklyn Wu and Andy Lau (from her debut A MOMENT OF ROMANCE) in an overwrought and overstuffed action crime adventure thriller mostly shot in the Philippines standing in for Thailand. Still a very entertaining film thx to a committed cast plus Lam at the helm; it just needed a little less plotting.

P sure Rosamund Kwan was stunt casted yet she was only 32 or 33 when this was made. So sad but she is great in this. Love seeing older David Chiang here as well. Also some fun on location scenes in San Francisco, too.
