TIL that John Woo directed a Teddy Robin starring slapstick family comedy for Robin’s production company. This movie is wild! Total screwball comedy that features Tsui Hark as an old man, Grandfather Steak, in 1985! The child actor Bin Bin (Magic Crystal) is great! The real star, however, is Violet Pan Ying-Zi as the nanny. She gets much of the heavy lifting and carries the movie. Really funny, too.
This was part of the DKUTV Year of the Tiger weekend programming to celebrate the lunar new year and year of the tiger. All the films are HK productions with “tiger” in the title.
