First film up in our movie night. Had forgotten about this one and likely would’ve seen it in theater back in Chicago since my local joint got all the big Korean releases. This is a bit of history that I was unfamiliar with so it was cool to learn of these events and how it went down. Genuine suspenseful moments and solid camerawork. Great acting, too.
Reminded me a of the other Korean film A TAXI DRIVER (2017) w/Kang-ho Song, which has a similar war-time premise. Also recalled of the ping pong movie AS ONE (2012) where North and South Korea had to work together to win the competition. Both of those are better movies than this one, IMO.
