Overview

A young Hans Christian Andersen goes in search of knowledge in the Garden of Paradise in order to make his studies easier. Each time he falls asleep, he experiences in his dreams the different characters he would later write about in fairy tales including The Little Mermaid, Thumbelina, and The Emperor’s New Clothes.

Viewing Notes

Thought I might have seen this but nope! Have seen other films similar to this premise with Hans Christian Andersen getting his ideas for his fairy tales. The stop motion is really the best aspect here but even that is just okay. The ending is a downer.

This is the kick off movie for DKUTV Rankin Bass day to celebrate the 45th anniversary of THE LAST DINOSAUR.
