Rankin Bass Day on DKUTV! I didn’t want to miss this one bc not only does it feature Toshiro Mifune but the rest of the cast is stacked. Sonny Chiba?? Laura Gemser?? Mako?? James Earl Jones?? Testuro Tamba?? Richard Boone again??

Yeah, this is a crazy Japanese American co-production. I’d love to watch a mini-documentary on how Rankin Bass even began their collaboration with Japan / Toho, which started with KING KONG ESCAPES, IIRC. This is another one that should’ve already been released by now with a good edition w/loaded extras. Fucking shame, really.
