My second selection from JFF Online 2022 and totally my kind of shit when it comes to Japanese dramedy. A fish out of water story with quirky characters and a personal journey of introspection. It’s whatever you call a “coming-of-age” story for young professionals. So wild to see Hidetoshi Nishijima (DRIVE MY CAR) as the “wizard” of this amusement park. He’s really good. Love that this was set in Kumamoto, an area of Japan I’ve never been but would totally go and visit this “Greenland” amusement park. The lead actress Haru is super cute and already has had a long career but I don’t think I’ve seen her in anything before this.
