Viewing Notes

Was happy to see this movie included in the JFF online selection. DKU once aired it during a Shinji Higuchi day but I missed it. His intro was nice and apparently this was a different cut than the OG version.

This is an epic old school big battle flick with the David vs Goliath story: remote castle with only 500 troops versus the emperor’s invading army of 20,000 soldiers. This is a good movie when the action kicks in after the long table setting of the first third.
