Viewing Notes
Lots of folks in my TL were pleased as punch when this was added to Shudder. Seems it was one of those under the radar late nineties slashers that was overlooked probably bc it arrived in 2000 or just got buried. I don’t even remember if I ever saw it listed for theatrical and this was around the time of FINAL DESTINATION which we did go see.
Anyways, this is a worthy title mainly for Michael Biehn as the sheriff and the babyface Brittany Murphy as his teenage daughter. The premise is nuts (killer targeting HS virgins) and I kinda think that MALIGNANT was influenced by the character design. Overall a p fun movie crumbles a bit in the third act.
