Viewing Notes

Seventh movie in the TRR-TV (bad) erotic thriller movie marathon (my sixth!). This gets a full point bump for bringing together the erotic thriller all-timers: Andrew Stevens and Morgan Fairchild. I feel like Stevens was always on nearly every night on Cinemax during the nineties. And I’m sure I watched this movie during that time. In this installment Claire Archer returns (now played by Shari Shattuck) with a screenplay about her life in the previous two movies. Stevens character wants to produce and his actor wife, Fairchild, wants to portray Claire onscreen. Of course things get steamy when Archer goes after Stevens and makes life challenging for him. Archer does what she does best and sets up a well executed murder. It’s nutty and goofy and immensely entertaining. Oh did I mention Robert Forster is in this as the big studio hot shot? Fucking great stuff. Directed by Jim Wynorski when he did more thought work. If this one were available on Blu I’d own it.
