RIP Jimmy Wang Yu (March 28, 1943 — April 5, 2022)
To celebrate the life of Jimmy Wang Yu who passed away earlier this week, Midnight Pulp is broadcasting this flick back to back tonight. Thought I had seen it but nope so it was a chance to check it off the list and pay respects to the legend.
This was directed by Jimmy after he left Shaw for Golden Harvest. Takes a little while to get going but it’s a lot of fun when Jimmy goes into revenge training mode. Not sure if this one has gotten an upgrade release but 88 or Eureka should release a Jimmy Wang Yu boxed set.
