Viewing Notes

My memory is getting worse. Second movie in as many nights that I had logged here but had zero recollection of viewing. For this entire movie everything was new to me then I checked IMDb at some point to look up the year and saw that I had rated it! Went to ML and looked it up and yep, I logged it and wrote some decent notes. But seriously not one thing in this movie felt familiar or rang a bell. So fucking weird.

Anyways I guess my opinion hasn’t changed bc this is just okay. The story is kinda the hooker with the heart of gold meets the bookie with a heart of gold (not exactly but I’m fine being reductive here). Very basic and silly and no stakes. But I was wrong about Willis. He’s not phoning it in; rather he’s having a good time with a quirky character. The only reason to watch this is for the cast and Rebecca Hall’s spot on American accent. I wouldn’t have noticed him then but Frank Grillo has a neat supporting role. CZJ is fun, too. It’s a nice and apparently forgettable movie.
