Someone who wears a blue mask, is squat and has giant hands are killing people and stealing jewelry and money. The witnesses are afraid to talk, despite the detective understands that the clues point to his friend Blue Demon. This is actually an evil plan hatched by the Count and a fighter called ’ The Cossack ‘, taking revenge on Blue. In both the real Blue Demon campaign starts with his secretary and a detective to unravel the mystery.

This started playing right after finishing the Santo flick FIST OF DEATH and who am I to refuse a Blue Demon solo adventure? Really, these are perfect Sunday afternoon flicks. Silly and amusing to see these masked wrestlers solve crimes and whatnot. Could be wrong but it sounds like they use the same voice actor as Santo for this English dub. I’m glad these movies are easily accessible now but those dubbed tracks are not v good.
Blue Demon is a favorite so of course I enjoyed this movie. The highlight is the ring match against Tigre. There’s also a Spider-man doppelgänger meme moment where Blue Demon faces his imposter.
All these MX luchador flicks are the same level of quality and I so wish they had the budget for better writing and direction bc they could’ve been some amazing films with a few tweaks here and there.
