This is that old chestnut “rich people mistaken for poor people and fall in love.” Son of a millionaire (billionaire by today’s standards) elects to be a milkman for one month so his father will let him go off to do whatever he wants. He mistakes a debutante for being maid. The wackiness ensues!
The kind of story audiences ate up! Oh to be rich but relatable to my pathetic existence. Joan Fontaine is something, however.
