Momotaro and Hidemaro are 1st-years at Otokojuku, a private boys school where true men are made. Momotaro, proficient in academics and martial arts becomes good friends with Hidemaro an underachieving weakling. Omito Date, former student leader, plans his revenge against his former school. Now leader of an evil army from rival Kanto Gogakuren school he fully intends on taking over Otokojuku.

Viewing Notes
Recently got this dvd to add to my Tak Sakaguchi collection. Thought I hadn’t seen it but when it started up I recalled the story and sure enough I did view this 4 years via a Netflix rental. It’s goofy like a comical take on Crows Zero but Tak is excellent. Tho as the director he probably doesn’t consider this a comedy as the back half is all p serious when the competition begins.
Couple final notes: this is my favorite look of Tak. His entire appearance is perfect. Second, this is one of the best looking DVDs I’ve seen. If you didn’t know you’d think this was a Blu. Wish all my DVDs had transfers this nice.
