Viewing Notes

Second birthday movie and a return visit to Muvico (now AMC Rosemont). Still very enjoyable. I paid more attention to the CGI work since that was a main criticism I’ve seen but it’s fine. Sure, for a $200M production maybe it should look a little better but it doesn’t really bother me. Emotional beats work and I love Christian Bale’s performance. Noticed ppl criticizing Natalie Portman’s acting but she’s supposed to be that way (awkward, fish out of water, stilted, etc) bc A) she’s never been a superhero B) she’s never been a god C) she’s dying and unsure how to deal with it D) etc etc etc.

Christ, ppl. It’s like these fuckers look for something wrong with everything they consume just because whatever.
