My countdown to PREY continues with the next Predator installment. Not sure what happened to me but I now love this movie. This after being so letdown on release then remaining mixed on my revisit a few years later (just prior to its sequel getting released).
Yes it’s still goofy and has some bad digital work (that CG blood is the worst!) but this is a helluva romp. I’m a huge mark for the enemies becoming unlikely allies to beat a common foe. And I just love these movie monsters and their creature design so very much.
Sanaa Lathan is terrific as the reluctant heroine. Now I want to see this in the Secret Cinema! It’s so loud and explode-y that it would be amazing.
