Viewing Notes

Chose this for National Cinema Day at a theater* I’ve not yet visited bc tix are only $3.23 today. This was the only movie that wasn’t soldout in this time slot. They’re calling this the “more fun edition” which I hope means “shorter” edition.

Turns out that the “more fun edition” is a longer cut of the movie with a few of the deleted scenes added back in. The longest is this high school broadcast that Betty Brant has with all the teachers and students associated with Peter Parker. It’s interesting but understandable as why it was cut. There’s a few smaller bits here and there but none really improve the film.

Still have my same issues with the first half. Things really don’t come into gear for Me until the death of Aunt May and the other Peter’s show up. It’s great from that point forward.

*Golden Ticket Cinema is the newer theater in RC and a regional chain. They have the lazy seating and Dolby 7.1 audio. It’s fine but still nothing compared to IMAX or Dolby Experience at AMC. But the AMC here was an old Carmike so it’s severely outdated and sucks. I wish it was torn down and rebuilt. But AMC doesn’t give a shit about hick areas like this.
