Overview
Working as a maintenance crew member on the moon, Duguyue is left behind after the evacuation mission forgets about him. A meteorite then destroys planet Earth, leaving him as the only man left alive in existence.

Viewing Notes
Not the movie I thought this would be but still an interesting, humorous and uplifting film. Took a while to get on board with the tone and absurdist comedy elements but halfway thru is when it clicks for me. A couple of emotional beats got me, too. Not a film for everyone but a soft 7 out of 10 for me.
Also has some of the best VFX I’ve seen out of China. Especially impressive given nearly everything is a digital rendering.
