Interesting to see this period from a different country featuring a different legend. Here it’s one story of Jan Zizka and his kidnapping of a princess (?). Foster is fine as Zizka yet also feels out of place as the only character with an American English accent.
The movie works thru all the necessary plot points and action beats perfectly fine but it’s the visceral gore and violence that make this a worthy viewing. It’s borderline horror, which is what I had read and what motivated me to make the effort to see it. Some nice practical FX and brutality of that period. I was pleased and give this a 7 out of 10.
To the asshat sitting in my row sniffling and breathing and coughing loudly during the entire 2+ hour runtime, he gets a negative 100. Clearly sick yet no mask and just chomping on popcorn loudly making all these gross noises. Fuck that dude.
