Super fun Yuen Biao / Maggie Chueng fantasy action flick. Both are great for different reasons. Wild to see Yuen Wah so slender and slimy. I’m so used to his later work where he’s the master mentoring the heroes. Really enjoy the fish out of water aspect and Maggie Chueng as an asshole. She has some great expressions and reactions. Gonna have to add this to my black friday sale.
Will likely revisit Donnie Yen’s remake of this movie bc I only recall it not being great (and split into two parts for whatever reason). But now I have better context as to the source material which may help.
