Viewing Notes

Pretty darn cool to see this opening night in a packed IMAX theater and hear the cheering for SRK and Nagarjuna Akkineni when they make their first appearance in the movie. The movie is basically an X-men / Eternals flick for Indian folklore and legendary gods. Silly stuff but also cool to see a Marvel / DC level superhero film to represent India.

Plenty of action but nothing after the opening sequence with SRK lives up to that high mark. Most of the rest of action scenes are superpower digital FX rather than physical combat. I do like the intrigue and road movie aspect as well as the budding romance between the leads. Really like all the exotic locations even if most were done digitally. Sadly, Amitabh Bachchan is really starting to look his age. Glad to have him here but the man should retire and live comfortably.
