Forgot how funny this movie is! Also forget the entire flashback sequence with Jen and Lo in the desert.
Another big crowd which was even more impressive on a Friday evening. About two thirds of the audience raised their hands when Jason asked who hadn’t seen the movie. Not all that surprising given it was released before they were born and it’s a foreign film. Cool way to experience it for the first time! It was so quiet I think they were in awe of the incredible Yuen Woo-ping fight choreography.
Michelle Yeoh definitely should’ve been nominated for an academy award that year if anyone knew what the fuck they were doing.
