Long overdue revisit. I cannot imagine viewing this without knowing the context and influences then coming away liking it. It really feels like an project made only for those that get it. For those that don’t, oh well.
This isn’t even patterned like a giallo but rather a giallo fed thru a prism of what these directors have gleaned from viewing those kind of films. Like an abstract version. The setting reminds me of Inferno.
