Viewing Notes

Amusing movie about yakuza opening a ramen joint with full on musical numbers. I love love love that Nishimura made this movie, which may not have the explicit blood and gore but really isn’t that far removed from his splatter horror work. He said he shot this in 8 days.

I’ve said it before but if I had fuck you money I’d give a large chunk of it to Nishimura and those other JP directors to do whatever they wanted. Tak has a one minute cameo and it is perfect, especially given his Twitter videos.
