Viewing Notes

Not often we get film noir set during Christmas with it being part of the plot. Back when thousand dollar bills were still regular circulation, which is so weird given the value of $1000 in the 40s. Seems like it’d make more sense to have thousand dollar bills now given the cost of everything.

I like Glenn Ford but the story is bit schmaltzy with the holiday stuff and leaning into the “save the orphanage” story. Still a decent watch.
