Viewing Notes

This was shown during the Cinepunx New Years Day marathon and I knew that I had seen it before so I was searching thru my ML logs trying to find it. Jason screened the movie at one of the old in-person TRR horror marathons… turns out it screened the Turkish remake called BRUTAL STORM, which is a terrible name for this story. Anyways, I knew I had seen this story just not this exact film. So I added to my list in Tubi and gave it spin since I had just watched another Spanish horror adjacent film.

This is a solid horror-lite flick with a terrible transfer on Tubi. And it’s dubbed but that didn’t bother me bc the tourists are visiting from England and should speak English. But that transfer is awful for a movie that should have a very nice release from VS or Severin or Arrow or perhaps even Mondo Macabro. I like this story, too, with the sisters hating on the tourists yet not being exactly 100 percent pious themselves.
