Overview
Sammo and George Lam are partners in crime and they scam some triad big shot out of a load of money and decide to retire. Three years later they both receive letters from Stanley Fung, in which he informs them that he has proof of all their criminal activity and unless they do exactly what he says–he will turn it over to the cops. Fung is an ex-cop himself and is trying to get the goods on the same triad leader that Sammo and George scammed.

So wild that this was the DriveInMob title for this week bc I just saw that Sammo Hung clip doing his homage to Singing in the Rain on my TL yesterday. Quite the coincidence! DIM chose to celebrate Michelle Yeoh this month after her win at the Golden Globes and this is her first film. She’s good here in a thankless role but enough to standout among these two leads.
Fun movie that combines the bad classroom into good classroom idea with a screwball action comedy. Love Sammo a lot in this (especially that dance routine).
