Overview
Fifteen hundred years after the war of gods, the heaven declined. Yang Jian, the God of Erlang, made a living by working as a catcher. One day, Yang Jian was ordered to hunt down a young man, his own nephew.

Soft 7 out of ten bc I love the animation and how they “filmed” this in a very kinetic way; it’s like an animated Tsui Hark film, which he’s done before, but more in the style of Detective Dee: big fantasy action adventure.
But like that and others it’s convoluted and gets real soupy towards the end. I would definitely watch this again with less exhausted eyes. Would consider buying it, too, bc I dig the creature design and action beats.
